Management of:
- Anorectal disorders:
The management includes application of Kshara (medicated alkali) and ksharasutra (thread medicated with the specified application of alkali). These treatments are safe, minimally invasive, less blood loss associated with the procedures, minimal pain, reduced rate of recurrence and economical. The procedures can be done under local anaesthesia with minimal hospital stay. Post-treatment recovery is swift and with no or less complications.
Unlike the conventional approach, the possibilities of damage to the anal sphincters and muscles are less thereby reducing the chances of anal incontinence. The patient can resume to routine within 3-5 days of surgery.
- Wounds:
We treat wounds associated with diabetic complications and chronic non-healing ulcers. The healing approach includes local wound wash with medicated decoctions, application of leech at the site of wound to improves the blood circulation which in turn enhances wound healing, debridement of wound and dressing the wound with appropriate medications. The oral medications and dietary advice is an essential part of wound treatment which will be personalised as per the patient needs.
